Gender & Women’s Studies
Major
We are pleased to announce that Kennesaw State University is developing a major in Gender & Women’s Studies (GWST). Gender & Women’s Studies broaden the education of both male and female students by helping them to understand the limitations placed on both sexes by narrowly defined sex roles. Current and future programs expand the traditional focus on women’s experience to include important discussions on diverse conceptions of gender and sexual identity, including studies of masculinity.
